Hopkinsville senior Ethan Noel became the state’s all-time assist leader in the Tigers’ 4-0 win at Graves County Thursday. Noel had two assists, with a helper to Ryan Roussel 13 minutes in setting the new state record with 108 career assists.
Roussel and Caleb Joiner each had two goals as Hoptown built a 4-0 halftime lead. Roussel and Braden Casey also had assists.
Hopkinsville improved to 14-4 with their fourth straight win and sixth in their last seven matches. The Tigers will play Christian County Monday in the first round of the Eighth District Tournament at the Stadium of Champions.
