After a three-week layoff, University Heights Academy appears to be getting back in stride. The Lady Blazers led Madisonville two sets to one before the Lady Maroons rallied for the five-set win. The final score was 25-22, 23-25, 24-26, 25-14, 15-8 in favor of Madisonville.

In their seven matches since returning from the layoff September 11, UHA has played in three matches that have lasted five sets and two other that have last four sets.

UHA had 15 service aces led by Lily Hendricks with six and Aisha Pantiere with three. Hendricks added 15 kills, with freshman Evelyn Morales contributing six. Freshman Beth Peebles had 23 assists and two aces.

UHA’s freshmen won 21-14, 21-17, while the JV team lost in three sets.

The Lady Blazers (6-6) travel to Christian County Thursday in a district match with huge implications on district seeding.
