The Caldwell County Lady Tigers lost their first volleyball matches to teams from outside of Jefferson County Saturday as they fell to Apollo and Logan County in the “Queens of the Court” event at Central Hardin. The Lady Tigers dropped the first set to Apollo 25-18. They battled back in the second set, but came up just short, losing 25-21.
In the match against Logan County, Caldwell County won the first set 25-21, before losing the next two 22-25 and 11-15.
In their third match of the event, Caldwell County defeated Southwestern Hanover 25-20 and 25-8.
The Lady Tigers finished 5th in the Silver Division of the tournament.
With the tourney results, Caldwell County now stands at 7-4 on the season. The Lady Tigers return to action Tuesday, when they host Murray at the CAB.
