Facing their first outside competition of the year, Heritage Christian Academy beat Russellville 8-2 in a scrimmage contest Tuesday at HCA.
Thomas West scored four goals for HCA, while Clay Bonner added three, and Trenton Hayes added another.
Kameron Cunningham didn’t allow a goal as the senior begins his second season in net for the Warriors. HCA also got good defense from junior captain Kayley Wadlington and good ball distribution from Isaac West and Ryan Trapnell.
HCA will scrimmage Logan County Thursday and open their season Tuesday against Highland Latin.
