Trigg County senior Jakobe Bridges became the school’s all-time leading receiver Friday night and became the first Wildcat to reach 100 career receptions in the process.
Bridges pulled down five passes for 79 yards in Friday’s 64-27 loss to Murray. He passed Prince Northington’s career mark of 98 receptions set in three seasons from 2000-02.
Bridges began the night with 96 catches and became the first Wildcat to reach 100 career catches. Donovan Lander (1999-2000) and Devron Wadlington (1999-2001) both had 90 career receptions.
Bridges now has 1,325 career receiving yards which puts him fifth on the all-time yardage list behind Wadington (2,060), Northington (1,682), Lander (1,398), and Jamaal Boyd (1,383).
His 23 career receiving touchdowns ranks second to only Wadlington’s 36.
