
Even with some significant graduation losses from a very successful 2018 soccer season, the Hopkinsville Tigers are considered among the best teams in the state for 2019. According to the preseason Maher Rankings for boys soccer, the Tigers come in at #12 in the state.
Last season, the Tigers finished the year at 19-7-2, losing to Highlands 2-1 in the state semifinals.
In the 2nd Region, the Tigers are the highest ranked team. They are followed by Henderson County, Madisonville, University Heights, and Trigg County.
Statewide, St. Xavier is at #1, followed by Collegiate, Trinity, Highlands, Ballard, Henry Clay, Dunbar, Daviess County, Warren Central, and Lexington Catholic.
