Lyon County freshman Cathryn Brown bested two other golfers to take first place Saturday at the Dawson Springs Invitational Saturday at Pennyrile Forest State Park.
Brown shot a 6-over par 78 to shoot the best score of the day.
Maddie Huddelston of Dawson Springs shot a 94, and teammate Brylee Spurlin shot a 110 in her first career round of 18 holes.
