Lyon County Post 68 breezed past Owensboro Post 9 in the second round of the American Legion State Tournament on Thursday.
Post 68 needed just five innings to post a 10-0 victory and advance to Friday’s winner’s bracket final in the double-elimination state tourney.
Lyon County will play again at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Jim Boyd Field at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville. A win in that game would put the Post 68 Aces into the championship round on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
