Hunter Reynolds wrapped up play in the Kentucky Junior Amateur Golf Tournament in Bardstown Wednesday with a round of 85. The Trigg County sophomore finished tied for 96th with a two-day score of +20.
Three double-bogeys and a triple-bogey were the undoing of Reynolds, who shot a 79 in the first round.
Hopkinsville junior James Folz also finished at +20, although he was not able to complete his second round. After shooting an 87 on the first day, Folz had recorded a 41 on the front-nine Wednesday before bad weather settled in.
Jansen Preston of Lexington won the tournament with a score of 11-under, two shots better than Campbellsville’s Luke Coyle.
Madisonville’s Jackson Hill shot a 3-over 75 Wednesday to finish the two rounds at 7-over, which was good for a tie for 29th place.
