Caldwell County and Marshall County needed 10 innings to finish Friday’s game at Lady Tiger Field in Princeton.
Marshall won its 20th game of the season by using a two-run bunt single in the top of the 10th inning to defeat the Lady Tigers 4-2. That ended Caldwell’s nine-game winning streak.
The game was the regular-season finale for Caldwell. The Lady Tigers will carry a 16-11 record into next week’s 7th District softball tournament in Madisonville.
