Fort Campbell’s bid for consecutive wins for the first time this season came up short Thursday as the visiting Falcons lost at Warren Central 6-1.
Noah Thomas homered and singled as part of a two-hit night for the Dragons, who improved to 8-20 with their second win over the Falcons this year. Jordan Lindsey added two hits and two RBIs.
Warren Central scored once in the first inning and added three more in the third for a lead they would not relinquish.
The Falcons lone run came in the fourth inning when Ryan Sawyer singled, advanced to third and scored on a passed ball. Sawyer had one of Fort Campbell’s five singles in the contest.
Dylan Johnson didn’t pitch bad, allowing four earned runs in the complete game loss for the Falcons. He struck out seven and walked just two.
Fort Campbell (4-15) plays Christian County Monday in the 8th District Tournament at University Heights Academy.
