Hannah Colbert pitched her third no-hitter of the season, and Trigg County needed just two hits to edge Hickman County 1-0 Friday at the Complex. Trigg’s win came one day after Hickman County became the first Region One team to beat McCracken County in the regular season, winning 9-8.

Colbert needed just 61 pitches to complete her first seven-inning no-no of the season. She struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.

After the first batter of the game reached on an infield error, Colbert retired the next 19 batters until another infield error broke the streak. With Rushing on first, Hickman’s Skaggs hit a fielder’s choice to advance Rushing to second. Colbert got a pop up and ground out to end the game.

Trigg’s lone run and both hits came in the third inning. Rylee Hendricks laced a triple to right field and scored on a Logan Darnall single to right field.

Rushing struck out three and walked one for Hickman County (20-10).

Trigg County (16-13) hosts Russellville Tuesday.
