The Todd County Central softball team slipped to 15-0 loss at Bowling Green on Friday night, the third-straight loss to the Lady Purples for Todd County dating back to a 7-0 win in 2016. The Lady Rebels drop their second in a row and stand at 6-14 overall, while Bowling Green wins its second in three tries to improve to 13-14 on the year.
Bowling Greens’ Kassidy Mason tripled to drive in three runs in the bottom the first and the Lady Purples led 5-0 after one. RBI doubles by Madison McCloughan, Elizabeth Richey and Gia Martin highlighted a ten-run second inning for the final score.
Todd County’s Haylee Vass took the loss, yielding thirteen hits with a walk and a strikeout.
Payton Briley allowed two Lady Rebel hits with two walks and a couple of strikeouts to earn the win for the Lady Purples.
The Lady Rebels will be on the road again on Saturday, making the trip to play a doubleheader at Hickman County. The Lady Falcons have won six of eight and will be looking to bounce-back from a 1-0 loss to Trigg County on Friday night.
