Dalton Ellis wasn’t sure if college football was in his future until his senior season with Todd County Central. The 6-3, 250-pound lineman was a fixture for the Rebels, helping them to a 5-6 record this season. On Wednesday, he signed to continue his football career at Vermillion College in Minnesota.
Ellis, who was the second-leading tackler for the Rebels from his defensive end position with 57 tackles, said he will make the switch to offensive guard in college.
Ellis was fourth on the team in tackles as a junior with 47.
Vermillion is a Division III junior college that competes in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. The Ironmen were 1-7 last year.
