Monroe County scored five times in the bottom of the seventh inning to keep Todd County Central from advancing to the championship game at the 4th Region All A Classic baseball tournament.
The big rally by the Falcons gave them a 10-9 victory over the Rebels. Monroe will host Cumberland County on Monday in the All A regional title tilt.
Kale Hagan singled home two runs while Caulyn Holbrook scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch for Monroe, which is now 6-5.
Todd (1-5) had gone in front 6-4 by scoring six times in the top of the fourth inning. Jamison Hunt doubled home the first two runs of that frame while Austin Rager and Clayte Weathers each had two-run singles for the Rebels.
Todd seemed in strong shape to advance when it scored three runs in the top of the sixth to extend its lead to 9-4. Tanner Farmer had an RBI single, Dylan Hurt delivered a sacrifice fly to right and Brice Nolan singled in a run to give the Rebels a five-run edge.
Monroe got one run in the bottom of the sixth to make it 9-5, setting the stage for its big rally in the home half of the seventh.
Farmer was 2-for-3 for Todd Central and drove in a run. Rager was 2-for-5 and knocked in two. Hunt was 1-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in.
For Monroe, Gabe Henson was 2-for-2 and scored three times. Austyn Belcher was 2-for-4 with a double and Wade Thompson was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
Henson was the winning pitcher for Monroe, tossing the last three innings and allowing three earned runs on just two base hits.
Todd Central is next scheduled to visit Russellville on Tuesday.
