Caldwell County senior Campbell Knoth has made it official and signed to play golf at Murray State University.
Knoth had a signing ceremony with friends and family on Friday in the Fine Arts Theatre at Caldwell County High School.
Knoth was named an All-Region golfer this past season after qualifying for the KHSAA state tournament with an eighth-place finish. She won the 2nd Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament as a junior and finished 14th at the All ‘A’ state tourney that season. Caldwell was not eligible for the All ‘A’ Classic this season.
Knoth will play for Velvet Milkman at Murray State. Her swing coach, Todd Trimble of Paducah, was at Friday’s signing and will continue to work with Knoth as well. Trimble is also the longtime coach of LPGA pro Emma Talley.
Campbell is a daughter of Brandon and Brandy Knoth of Princeton.
