Crittenden County’s early season pitching issues reared its head again Thursday as the Lady Rockets lost to Calloway County 14-6. Crittenden has allowed 37 runs in their first three games of the season as they try and forge ahead without the services of All-District pitcher Chandler Moss, who suffered an ACL injury during basketball season.

Calloway County rapped out 14 hits as they scored three runs in both the third and fourth innings and five more in the seventh.

Sophie Lax and Ellie Jackson each had three hits for the Lady Lakers (2-0).

Ashlyn Hicks had a pair of doubles for Crittenden County with two RBIs, while Matthia Long had three hits. Kalli Champion also drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Rockets (1-2) who play at Murray Friday.
