It appears Christian County High School has made the selection of its next boys soccer coach. Christian County Athletic Director Steve Lovelace told YourSportsEdge.Com, that the team was informed Wednesday morning that Austin Byrum, has been named to be the new coach of the team.
Byrum, who played soccer at University Heights, is a 2017 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College. He spent his freshman season at Asbury University.
Christian County finished the 2018 season at 8-12-1 with head coach Matt Gibson at the helm. Gibson stepped down after only one season as head coach of the Colonels. Christian County loses seven seniors off the 2018 team.
