Led by 28 points from senior guard Aaliyah Hampton, the Christian County Lady Colonels bounced back from a slow first half to claim a 61-51 double-overtime win over Hopkinsville in the 8th-District championship game on Thursday night at Lyle Dunbar Gym.
Afterward, Coach Kiki Radford talked about how the Lady Colonels kept fighting with Hampton on the bench with foul trouble in the first half, and hopes her starters can avoid those problems in next week’s 2nd Region tournament.
