The alignment for the 2019-2020 school year in All A Classic competition has been released. Under the new alignment, one area school will return to the competition in the 2nd Region after sitting out for a year.
Under All A Classic guidelines, the smallest 120 schools in the state, based on numbers provided by the Kentucky Department of Education, are eligible for competition. The enrollment numbers are from grades 9 through 12.
Under the latest enrollment figures, Caldwell County will move back into the smallest 120 schools. The figures show Caldwell County with a total enrollment of 543 students, tied for 112th smallest school in the state with Washington County.
One area school was as close as you could get to being eligible for the All A Classic, without making it in. Trigg County’s enrollment figures were 572 in grades 9 through 12. Lloyd Memorial and Bath County were both at 568, which tied them for the 120th spot. Thus, Trigg County was school number 122, or the first school to miss making the enrollment cutoff line for All A competition.
