The Fort Campbell Falcons dropped their second game in as many days at the Zaxby’s Holiday Tournament in Clarksville, falling 72-32 to LEAD Academy of Nashville. Fort Campbell rode a 2-game winning streak into the tournament, but slip to 4-4 overall. LEAD Academy improves to 6-4 on the year.
The Falcons fell behind 19-7 after the first quarter, before being outscored by 11 in the second to trail 42-19 at the halftime break.
The Panthers continued to stretch their advantage after the break, building a 32-point cushion after the third quarter. Fort Campbell only managed 3 points over the final 8 minutes for the final 40-point deficit.
Gavin Smith scored a game-high 20 for the Panthers, followed by Jason Rhodes with 15, and Kam Elder with 10.
No Falcons reached double figures, with Doryan Hall’s 8 leading the team. Jaylen Allen scored 6 and Cameron Pratt had 5.
