The last time Lyon County visited Caldwell County, the Lyons left with a 30-point loss.
Tuesday night, the Lyons opened the season at Caldwell and pulled out a 59-57 victory over the Tigers.
Lyon head coach Ryan Perry said he stressed competing to his team, and said the Lyons were able to make enough plays late in the game to pull out the victory.
