A former University Heights Academy Lady Blazer has been honored for her efforts on the collegiate soccer field this season. Rhodes College sophomore Alli Cundiff was named 2019 All South Atlantic Region by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
Cundiff was named third team All Region after she finished the season with 10 goals and two assists for a total of 22 points. Twice this year Cundiff earned four points in a game. She tied for eighth in the SAA in points and seventh in goals scored.
Cundiff scored a goal and recorded at least two points in each of the first five games of the season and recorded four game-winning goals. This year she was also named first team All Southern Athletic Association.
Rhodes finished the 2019 season 13-6 and earned second place in the regular season Southern Athletic Association standings before advancing to the SAA Championship game for the second year in a row. The Lynx recorded the most wins in a single season since earning 14 wins in 2013.
