The Hoptown Hoppers will open defense of their Ohio Valley League championship on Friday, May 29 against the Fulton Railroaders.
The OVL released the schedules for their nine teams this week. The Hoppers will play four of their first five games on the road and finish the season with eight of their final 13 regular season games at home.
Schedule highlights include:

- Sunday, May 31 – The Hoppers play at Owensboro ahead of their first off day on June 1.
- Sunday, June 7-Monday, June 8 – The first of three times during the schedule when the Hoppers have consecutive off days. The others are June 28-29 and July 6-7.
- Thursday, June 11 – The first rematch of last year’s OVL Championship Series will be at League Stadium against the Dubois County Bombers.
- Sunday, June 14 – Hopkinsville travels to division rival Madisonville for the first time
- Saturday, July 4 – The Hoppers host Franklin for their annual game and postgame fireworks show.
- Sunday, July 19 – The regular season concludes with a road game at Paducah.
Like in past years, the OVL has scheduled Mondays as off days league-wide on order to be used for make-up days.
While there was talk of adding a tenth team in 2020, the schedule features just nine teams for the second straight season.
Hoptown will play their home games at Christian County High School in 2020.
