It will be Caldwell County and Madisonville-North Hopkins for the 7th District volleyball championship Thursday night.
The Lady Maroons advanced with a 3-0 win over Hopkins County Central Tuesday at the CAB gym in Princeton.
Madisonville won by scores of 25-18, 25-5, 25-12.
Madison McCabe had 27 of her team’s 32 kills in the victory over the Lady Storm. McCabe recorded 20 digs as well.
The Lady Maroons also got 30 digs from Alexis Fliehman, 26 set assists from Amya King and eight aces from Natalie Collier.
Madisonville, the No. 2 seed, will meet the top-seeded and host Lady Tigers at 6:00 Thursday.
The Lady Maroons are now 16-18 while Caldwell is 20-13. Hopkins Central ends its season at 11-18.
Caldwell, which swept a pair of matches from Madisonville during the regular season, will be looking for its 13th straight district championship.
Both Caldwell and Madisonville will play in the 2nd Region tournament next week. The regional will be held at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
The draw for the regional tourney is set for Friday morning in Madisonville.
