Heritage Christian Academy had two players named to the KCAA All-State Soccer Team announced at the state tournament over the weekend.
Seniors Thomas West and Mati Venable were part of the 10-player all-state team. West was also a finalist for the KCAA Mr. Soccer Award that went to Somerset Christian’s Eli Hutchison.
West led the Warriors with nine goals this season and finished his HCA career as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 73 goals.
Venable was the team’s second-leading scorer with five goals and three assists. Heritage Christian Academy advanced to the KCAA state semifinals and recorded a 7-6 record.
