
After dropping the first set in its previous three matches, the UHA volleyball team once again found itself in need of a comeback on Thursday night, rallying from a 1-2 deficit to beat visiting Paducah Tilghman 3-2.
The victory caps a regular season that ties the program’s season-win mark with a 26-5 record, 15-1 against 2nd-Region competition and a perfect 8-0 in district play.
The Lady Blazers took a tight opening set over the 13-10 Blue Tornado 25-21, before dropping the next two by identical 15-25 scores. UHA answered with a 25-15 win in the fourth, before sealing the landmark victory 15-11 in the fifth.
The Lady Blazers open postseason play on Tuesday when they meet Fort Campbell in the first round of the 8th-District tournament. UHA took both regular-season meetings with the Lady Falcons without losing a set.
