The KHSAA has released their Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) for girls’ soccer as schools across the state head into region tournament play.

Madisonville (.685) and Henderson County (.573) have the two highest RPIs in the region, with Madisonville ranked fifth statewide. The RPI is calculated from the team’s winning percentage, their opponent’s winning percentage, and their opponents’ opponents’ winning percentage.

University Heights (.557), Caldwell County (.555), and Hopkinsville (.541) round out the top five. Fort Campbell (.538) is sixth.

UHA played the toughest schedule in terms of their opponent’s winning percentage (.604), followed by Henderson County (.572), Madisonville (.571), Hopkinsville (.560), and Caldwell County (.533).

The RPI being used by the KHSAA will be used to seed football teams in the third round of the postseason. There are no immediate plans for soccer to use the RPI in the postseason.
