Madisen Ireland’s fist collegiate soccer goal proved to be the game-winner for Union College Wednesday in their win over Bluefield College.
The former Trigg County All-District performer broke a 2-2 tie in the 48th minute as the Bulldogs went on for the 4-2 win. Ireland has played in every game this season for Union, who improved to 4-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. She also has an assist to her credit this season.
Union will return to action Saturday against Brenau, the first of three straight home matches for Union.
