After posting 34 goals last season as a freshman, Lyon County’s Rose Smith has upped her output to 40 in her sophomore campaign, including both strikes in a 2-1 victory over Trigg County in Tuesday night’s 5th-District title game.
After Smith and her teammates collected their district champions trophy, she said good communication and increased positivity within the team have them peaking at the right time.
