Fort Campbell and Lyon County squared off at Powell Field in Eddyville on Tuesday but had to settle for a 2-2 draw after 80 minutes of boys’ soccer action.
Fort Campbell (4-12-2) took a 2-1 lead to halftime, but Lyon (2-14-3) netted the tying tally in the 57th minute.
Timothy Stewart gave the Lyons an early lead with a goal in the 9th minute.
But the Falcons tied things in the 16th minute on a Jhony Paniagua goal.
Fort Campbell then edged ahead in the 24th minute when Rafael Cerritos found the net to give the Falcons their one-goal edge at the break.
Lyon’s Todd Huddleston tied things with the only goal of the second half. Coming midway through the period, Huddleston’s shot hit the left post and found its way into the far side of the net to make it a 2-2 game.
Both teams had scoring chances over the last 10 minutes but neither could produce a game-winner.
Fort Campbell had beaten Lyon 4-0 on Aug. 22.
The Falcons will play at home on Thursday against Ohio County.
Lyon does not have another regular-season game on its schedule.
