David Gonzalez scored five goals and assisted on two others to lead Henderson County to a 10-0 win over Christian County Thursday at the Stadium of Champions. Henderson remains unbeaten against region opponents with a 5-0-1 record. They are 12-2-2 overall.
Bryce Bennett added two goals and chipped in with three assists, while Adam Gillham had a goal and two helpers. Henderson County has won seven straight matches against Christian County with the last four coming by 10-0 scores.
Christian County (3-13-1) returns to the pitch this weekend at the Central Hardin Bruin Classic in Elizabethtown. The Colonels will play Williamstown (6-6-1) Saturday at 1pm and Frederick Douglass (8-4-2) at 7pm. Both matches will be at the Elizabethtown Sportspark.
