Trigg County’s girls wrapped up the No. 1 seed for the 5th District tournament – and a berth in the 2nd Region field – by winning in a shootout at Lyon County on Monday.
Trigg led 3-0 midway through the second half, but saw Lyon rally to tie the match at 3-3.
Neither team scored in overtime. The Lady Wildcats pulled out the win after seven rounds of penalty kicks.
