Lady Rebels Drop Home Match to Logan

A tough loss at home Tuesday evening for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels against one of the 4th Region contenders. Logan County upended the Lady Rebels in straight sets for the second time this season to remain unbeaten in 13th District play.

The Lady Cougars opened with a roar in the first set, winning by a score of 25-19. The Lady Rebels fought their way through the second set, before falling 25-19.

Logan County then closed out the match by taking the third set 25-14.

Lucy Chester again had a big night for Todd County Central, finishing the match with eight kills. Brylee Shemwell chipped in with seven assists. Merideth Drummond gave a solid effort with five digs in the match.

 

The Lady Rebels fall to 7-13 on the season. The seven wins is already three more than Todd Central had all of last season. The loss drops Todd Central to 2-3 in 13th District play. They finish district competition next week against Russellville, who is already locked in as the 4th seed, and will play Logan County in the 13th District tournament.

Todd County Central will take on Franklin-Simpson in the 2-3 matchup when district tournament action gets underway.

Logan County improved to 16-1 on the season and 5-0 in district play. The only loss for the Lady Cougars this season so far came against region rival Greenwood.
