Christian County’s cross country runners brought home an eighth place finish Saturday in the St. Mary Invitational held at Paducah’s Noble Park.
Freshman Perry Cunningham led the Colonel runners with a 31st place finish in a time of 20:55 over the 3.1-mile course. Keon Dillard was 42nd, and Logan Carter finished 43rd for the Colonels. Logan Moore placed 50th, followed by Gage Goble (59th) and Conner Rinehart (62nd).
Tucker Poshard of Carbondale, Ill. won the race in a time of 16:45, easily outpacing second place Jake Taylor of Paducah Tilghman by a minute.
Poshard’s finish helped Carbondale win the team race with 38 points. Paducah Tilghman was second with 69 points. Christian County finished eighth with 203 points.
Eli Harrison led the Christian County Middle School runners with a 31st place finish.
