The Heritage Christian Academy volleyball team entered the weekend ranked No. 4 in the first KCAA Power Poll of the season. The Lady Warriors won three of their four conference matches, including all three on the road Saturday.
On Friday, HCA traveled to Radcliff where they lost to No. 4 North Hardin Christian 25-23, 25-12.
Saturday, HCA moved on to Louisville where they won their opening match with Micah Christian 25-15, 25-18. Next was a 25-14, 25-18 victory over No. 8 Cornerstone Christian and a 25-23, 25-18 win over No. 6 Holy Angels.
Emma Kirkman had a big weekend with 36 assists, while Allie Schluckebier had 14 kills. Ellie Heltsley had 23 kills and seven blocks, and Lexie Crisp had 10 kills. Bailey Craft had 12 assists, and Meredith Crunk had eight digs.
“I’m really pleased with the overall effort the girls gave this weekend,” said HCA coach Eldridge Rogers. “It was obvious that the girls are beginning to believe that they can compete with anyone in the KCAA as long as they stay focused. I’m excited to see where this team will end up at the end of the season.”
Heritage Christian Academy (9-5) will host Bowling Green Christian Tuesday at Warrior Gym.
