
Madison Henderson recorded a hat trick and the Todd County Central girls soccer team built a big lead before holding on late for a 6-5 victory over visiting Hart County on Thursday night. The win is the second-straight for the Lady Rebels, evening their record at 5-5. The Lady Raiders drop their second in a row and also stand at 5-5 overall.
The Lady Rebels fell behind 2-0 early, but had clawed back to 2-2 by halftime. Four unanswered goals after the break gave Todd County a 6-2 lead, before a furious Lady Raider rally fell just short for the final 6-5 score.
In addition to Henderson’s 3 goals, Alexis Andrews and Jenny Flores each had a goal and an assist, Tamiya Foster scored once and Nikita Shutts added an assist.
Kiley Adcock led the Lady Raider charge with 4 goals, followed by Genevieve Martinez with a goal and Maggie Dennis with a couple of assists.
The Lady Rebels will be back in action on Saturday when they meet Clinton County in 4th-Region All “A” play.
