
Allison Wood brought home a 20th place finish for Hopkinsville Saturday at the Central Kentucky Run for the Gold Saturday in Elizabethtown.
The Hoptown sophomore finished in 20th place in a time of 21:00 over the 3.1-mile course. She averaged 6:45 per mile.
Her sister Rebecca Wood, a seventh grader, finished in 78th place with a time of 23:16. Eva Blankenberger was 119th in 24:48, followed by Chloe Palacios in 136th (25:31), Brooklyn Taylor in 169th (29:56), and Natalie Frost in 188th place (42:44).
Ashlyn Liddle of the Bluegrass United Home School won the race with a time of 18:59, edging Christian Academy-Louisville’s Addi Dewey by four-tenths of a second at the finish line.
As a team, Hopkinsville finished in 18th place with 391 points.
