
Christian County golfer Hannah Sumner continues to see her scores go lower after a top 10 finish at the Franklin-Simpson Wildcat Shootout Saturday at the Franklin Country Club.
Sumner broke 80 for the first time in her career, shooting a 79 to finish tied for sixth place. The Lady Colonel senior shot a 41 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine.
Teammate Bridget Owens also turned in a good score, shooting a 43 on each nine holes to card a round of 86.
Union County’s Sarah Hagedorn earned medalist honors with a round of 74 in the 63-player field.
