Will Jolly had a hat trick as the Trigg County Wildcats kept their 2019 record spotless.
Trigg improved to 5-0 with a 4-1 triumph over Graves County on Saturday at the Trigg Recreation Complex.
The Wildcats built a 2-0 lead at halftime on the way to topping the visiting Eagles (1-2).
Keller Nichols got Trigg on the scoreboard in the 30th minute when he hammered home a penalty kick.
Jolly then struck 5 minutes later, with his first goal giving the Wildcats their two-goal cushion at the intermission.
Jolly scored again in the 55th minute, this time with help from Nichols, to make it 3-0.
Jolly then stuck in a loose ball in front of the Graves net in the 73rd minute for his third goal and a 4-0 lead.
The Eagles broke up the shutout in the 75th minute when Alex Murillo scored on a free kick to make it 4-1.
It’s just the second goal allowed by the Wildcats this season. Trigg has outscored its first five foes 15-2.
Trigg controlled play for much of the contest.
Goalkeeper Matthew Smith needed to make just two saves in the Wildcat net.
Trigg plays at home again on Monday, facing 5th District foe Lyon County.
