Caldwell County’s Elijah Shaheen is a first-year starter on the defensive front, but the sophomore turned in a big effort in Friday’s 19-14 win over Christian County.
Shaheen tied for team-high honors with eight tackles, including two for loss, and had 1.5 sacks for Caldwell.
Afterward, Shaheen talked about what was a physical battle in the trenches.
