Kala Wiles has stepped down as Fort Campbell volleyball coach after just one game. The first-year coach made the announcement on social media Tuesday evening, citing “an underlying health concern that transpired after Monday’s game.”
Fort Campbell traveled to Clarksville Northwest and lost in four sets. Wiles had rejuvenated a Fort Campbell volleyball program that had won just 31 games the past five seasons. She had over 35 kids come out for the program, which was a dramatic increase for the upper three levels.
Assistant coach Kasey Yungandreas will take over as head coach. Fort Campbell will play at Todd County Central Thursday.
