The Christian County boys’ soccer team suffered its second-straight 1-goal loss of the early season, falling 2-1 at Owensboro Catholic (2-1) on Saturday morning. The Colonels began the season with a loss to Trigg County by the same score and will look to pick up their first win on Monday when Franklin-Simpson (0-1) makes the trip to the Stadium of Champions.
The Aces took the lead midway through the first half on a penalty kick, before senior Bryson Brown equalized off an assist from Curtis Torain just before the halftime whistle. Brown, a standout with the Colonels’ baseball team, is playing his first season with the soccer team.
The Aces found the go-ahead goal in the second half and held off the Colonels for the win.
