Caldwell County’s girls got two goals and an assist from Kaylee McEnaney as they continued their mastery over Webster County.
The Lady Tigers are 16-0 all-time against the Lady Trojans after picking up a 6-1 victory in season-opening action Monday in Dixon.
The game was delayed 30 minutes because of the heat, but Caldwell’s offense struck in the 8th minute to grab an early 1-0 lead.
A McEnaney corner kick was headed home by Lucy Goffinet to put the Lady Tigers on top.
The score remained 1-0 until the 35th minute when Kelsie Adams nailed a direct kick from about 35 yards out to make it 2-0.
Webster got on the scoreboard on Abbie Michalek’s direct-kick goal in the 36th minute.
But Caldwell countered quickly. McEnaney netted her first goal in the 37th minute, sneaking a shot from the right side just inside the near post. That gave the Lady Tigers a 3-1 lead at the break.
Abbey Hagan gave Caldwell some additional breathing room in the 50th minute when she scored to make it 4-1.
McEnaney’s second goal came on a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
Kendall Boyd tallied Caldwell’s final goal in the 78th minute, using help from Laken White to push the final margin to 6-1.
Caldwell outshot Webster 36-6 in the contest.
Lady Tiger goalkeeper Karsyn Parker needed to make just three saves in the Caldwell net.
The Lady Tigers will play at home for the first time on Thursday when they host Owensboro Apollo.
