Hunter Reynolds fired a 3-under par 69 to finish tied for fourth and help lead Trigg County to a third place team finish at the Dawson Springs Invitational Saturday at Pennyrile Forest State Park.
Reynolds was one of five golfers to shoot under par Saturday. Bowling Green’s Collier Curd and Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo tied for the lead with a 5-under 67. A thunderstorm rolled through the area just as the playoff was set to begin rendering the course unplayable. Curd was declared the winner via a scorecard playoff.
Grayson Thomas carded an 80 for Trigg, followed by rounds of 81 by Ty Butts and Trey Carr. Stephen Audas shot an 84, and Haydon Reynolds added a 92.
As a team, Trigg County totaled 311 points which was behind only Bowling Green (291) and Marshall County (293).
