Christian County has turned to some familiar faces to lead their track and field teams. Joe Leavell was announced Wednesday as the Colonel track and field head coach, while Erick McGee was introduced as the girls’ track coach.
McGee is the middle school girls’ basketball coach and is familiar with the athletes on the team through his daughters Eniya and Trinity. He was a three-sport athlete at Christian County and was a member of the Colonel track and field team.
Leavell was on vacation and was not in attendance at the media briefing. He attended high school at Hopkinsville where he was a member of the track and field team.
