On Friday night at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex, Hopkinsville boys’ soccer coach Tyler Stallons was joined by a number of local coaches and others involved with soccer locally to take the first steps toward establishing a new club soccer team.
Since Hopkinsville’s Ambush Soccer Association faded, local players looking to play club soccer have had to search for opportunities outside the area, with Stallons and others looking to provide a local solution for growing the game.
After Friday’s meeting, Stallons talked about what led to the decision and what he hopes to new club can do for players of all ages in the area.
