Emma Talley took a break last week on the LPGA Tour, but the former Caldwell County standout will be back at it this week at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
Talley will tee off at 1:16 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the first round off the No. 1 tee. On Friday, Talley starts on No. 10 at 7:51 a.m
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is the third major of the year on the LPGA Tour.
Some 156 players begin play Thursday morning in the 72-hole event. After 36 holes the field will be cut to the top 70 players and ties. The purse for this week’s event is $3.85 million with the winner getting $577,500.
Talley played in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last season and finished in a tie for 55th place. That earned her almost $11,000.
