Logan County wasted little time in establishing why they were the top seed in the 13th District Softball Tournament, scoring in every inning on their way to an 11-1 win over Todd County Central Monday in Russellville.
Sydney Lee homered and drove in a pair of runs, and K.J. Page and Brea Croslin each added a pair of hits for the Lady Cougars.
All three of Todd County’s hits went for extra bases. Jordan Weathers doubled twice, and Paige Rager tripled home Weathers for the Lady Rebels’ lone run in the seventh inning.
Shelby Gettings, who pitched a no-hitter against Todd County earlier in the year, struck out 11 Monday in picking up the win.
Todd County Central’s season ends with a record of 9-17.
Logan County (23-6) will play Franklin-Simpson Tuesday for the district title. F-S beat Russellville 7-2 in the other semifinal.
