The Todd Central Lady Rebels used big nights from juniors Emma Harris and Jordan Weathers to end a four game losing skid Monday evening. Harris had four hits, while Weathers drove in four runs, as the Lady Rebels rolled to a 9-2 win over McLean County.
The Lady Rebels got things going early in the game. Jordan Weathers, Rachel Bilyeu, and Abby McPhearson, all hit RBI singles in the bottom of the first inning to give Todd Central a 3-0 lead.
Todd Central was right back at it in the bottom of the second scoring five more runs to go up 8-0. Jordan Weathers drove in a pair of runs, while Whitney Higgins, Emma Harris and Abby McPhearson drove in a run apiece.
The Lady Cougars tried to battle back, scoring a run in the top of the third, and another in the top of the fourth to trim the lead to 8-2. However, Todd County pitcher Abby McPhearson was able to close the door for the rest of the game to ensure the Lady Rebels victory.
Jordan Weathers added another RBI single in the bottom of the 4th to extend the lead to 9-2.
Emma Harris ended up 4-4, with an RBI, and three runs scored. Jordan Weathers was 2-4, with four RBIs, and a run scored. Abby McPhearson finished the game at 2-3, with a double, and two RBIs.
McPhearson went the distance in the circle, giving up two runs, on four hits, striking out six, and walking seven.
